Insurance Information

Brought to you by ARF Singapore Pte Ltd (ARF), Loola has effected a program underwritten by AIG Insurance Singapore Pte Ltd exclusively for our guests (to Bintan).

Signing up couldn't be easier: simply leave the tick after your name on the ferry booking form, that's all! (Right-click to) download Ferry/Insurance Booking form

Loola has furthermore decided that price should not deter people from taking up a good insurance: $ 10 per person (payable directly to Loola) will insure you for up to 3 days, and another $ 3 per person per day will insure you for longer trips to all on all our Indonesia and Thailand programs.

The benefits of this plan are briefly summarized below, however, you are advised to read the AIG SmartTraveller Policy wording for actual terms and definitions. Please note that while definitions and terms are as defined in this policy wording, the maximum insured amounts and clauses/benefits vary. Where they differ, the amounts and benefits printed on the ferry booking form (and on this web-page) apply.

In the event of an emergency, or if you wish to make a claim, please follow this action and claim flow chart. (You should print this document and bring it along on your trip).

In the event you wish to make a claim later upon return to Singapore, simply download the AIG claim form, and follow the procedures as outlined in the document mentioned above.

Important note for schools: many schools ask us if the cancelation benefits will apply in case of a MOE/MFA travel advisory or ban. The official answer is NO, and this is apparently the case for ALL travel insurances: They all feature the exclusion: "Any loss caused directly or indirectly by government regulations or control". But then again, if MOE/MFA would come out with strong advisories, it would likely be because of riots, strikes, or natural disasters, and in such case the insurance DOES COVER you for cancelation. However, please do read the important disclaimer at the bottom of this page!

important disclaimer: Loola is not an insurance agent and we (most fortunately!) have had very little experience with guests claiming. We do not claim to have full understanding of the fine print of the AIG insurance. What we have done is simply ask the travel industry what they considered to be the best travel insurance. The consensus was AIG (this is still true even after Sep 2008 when AIG was effectively nationalized by the US government), and we subsequently made a deal with AIG for your benefit. However, if you are in doubt about any of the terms, you should contact ARF at 6377 6643, referring to the LooLa Adventure Resort policy (or policy number 501 000 2339)
